Bunbury Walk in Their Shoes Tours

Event Description

WA Family Law Pathways Network, the Family Court of Western Australia, the Magistrates Court of WA, and the Bunbury Courthouse are partnering to present a series of Bunbury-based “Walk in Their Shoes” Events. The tour is designed to assist practitioners in the sector to understand the pathways families take when accessing the Court.

*Please note, these tours will not include an observation of court proceedings**

Family Court Walk in Their Shoes Tour

These tours include a Q&A panel with a Magistrate, Family consultant, Duty Lawyer from Legal Aid or South West Community Legal Centre, Family Protection and Family Support representative.

This tour runs from 3.30pm to 4.30pm and is free of charge, however bookings are essential. 

FVRO/Shuttle Conferencing Walk in Their Shoes Tour

These tours include a walk through tour, followed by a Q&A panel with a Magistrate, Family Violence Conciliation Registrar, and duty Lawyer from South West Community Legal Centre or Legal Aid WA.

This tour runs from 2.10pm to 4.15pm and is free of charge, however bookings are essential. 

Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for Court and bring a drink bottle for cold water. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided.
