Children's Matters Stakeholders Forum
WA Family Law Pathways Network is proud to support the Children's Matters Stakeholders Forum organised by the Geraldton Family Relationships Centre, which is scheduled to coincide with the June circuit of the Family Court of Western Australia in Geraldton.
Children’s Matters Stakeholders have been meeting regularly for the past several years and through these forums we are able to continue to successfully achieve sound networking between all stakeholders including legal practitioners, family dispute resolution practitioners, the Family Court of Western Australia and the Courthouse in Geraldton.
Featuring a presentation about the role of Family Consultants at the Family Court of Western Australia by Fran Willix.
Fran has been working in her current role as a Family Consultant in the Family Court Counselling and Consultancy Service at the Family Court of Western Australia for 11 years. Prior to returning to Western Australia, Fran worked in various roles in Ireland including medical social worker and working with the Irish Travelling community. Fran completed a Masters in Women’s Studies at University College Dublin and worked in residential care with Traveller families during this time. In her current role in the Family Court, Fran has particular interests in assessment of risk issues and assisting parents and carers to make child focused decisions about their family arrangements.
