Changes to the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Regulations: National Information Session April 2025

Changes to the Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Regulations: National Information Session April 2025

The National Family Law Pathways Networks in collaboration with Attorney-General’s Department invite you to participate in this information session.

On 1 April 2025, the new Family Law (Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners) Regulations 2025 commence. The new regulations include a number of changes that will impact accredited FDR practitioners.

Most of the changes come into force immediately.

Others, like the need for the Australian Government Attorney-General’s Department (AGD) to approve an entity to act as an approved complaints-handling body, have a transitional period.

This allows time for those organisations to lodge applications and for AGD to make decisions.

In this session, the Department will talk through the changes and how they will impact accredited Family Dispute Resolution practitioners.
