You are invited to join us for some light refreshment and nibbles for family law professionals located in Bunbury and travelling from Perth on the Magistrates circuit of the Family Court of Western Australia.

Featuring a presentation about amica by Shivaun Hughes from Legal Aid WA.

SESSION DESCRIPTION: 

amica is a new online resource to help people with family law issues, including online dispute resolution if suitable. amica can complement the vital assistance that Family Relationship Services provide every day to people dealing with separation.  amica was developed by National Legal Aid with Commonwealth funding and oversight from a Steering Committee involving FRSA, NLA and the Attorney-General’s Department.

Shivaun HughesLegal Aid

Shivaun Hughes is a senior solicitor in Legal Aid’s Family Advocacy Support Service (FASS), an integrated duty lawyer and family violence support worker service. She works primarily in urgent parenting matters in the Family Court at Perth. Shivaun also advises in relation to Family Violence Restraining Orders, simple family law property matters and protection and care matters. She travels to the regions to provide duty lawyer assistance when the Family Court is on circuit.
