With effect from 10 September 2019, personal cross-examination is banned in family law proceedings in certain circumstances where allegations of family violence have been raised.
On 31 October 2019, WA Family Law Pathways Network and Legal Aid WA ran an information session with Julie Jackson, Director Family Law Division at Legal Aid, to improve service providers’ and legal professionals’ understandings of these law changes. The session was also livestreamed as a webinar for regional participants.
